After a rewarding career saving lives as a paramedic, I woke up one morning and decided that I needed a change in my professional life. Over the last couple of years, my passion for emergency medicine had been on a steady decline and I was no longer enjoying the work. I knew whatever path I chose to take needed to be something that I enjoyed while also challenging me at the same time.

I was naturally drawn to coding and web development based on my love of technology and computers. I started out by watching youtube tutorials, learning the basics of HTML, CSS and Javascript. I immediately knew I was on the right path afer building my first website and the sense of accomplishment that came with it. My love for coding grew as I navigated through the world of "self-learning". My passion to learn and grow as a developer led me to the Flatiron School's Software Engineering program, where I would gain a fundemental foundation of Ruby and Javascript languages, frameworks such as Ruby on Rails and modern libraries like React JS. I'm now looking to find a company where I can not only make meaningful contributions, but grow and flourish as a web developer.
